We had a great first week in kindergarten!!! Despite the rain and hot temperatures, our class was able to learn so much! I know your kids came home exhausted but I hope they were able to tell you about some of the fun things they did.
We listened to a lot of classroom and school rules. We learned about all of the procedures needed to function in KP. We sang fun songs and read books about school and friends. We began our Jolly Phonics program beginning with the sounds s, a, and t. We explored many ways to play with unifix cubes and pattern blocks.
We were able to go to some of our specials but will see all specials teachers next week. Please refer to the specials schedule to the right. Your child must wear gym shoes on P.E. day or he/she will have to sit out.
Thank you for sending your child's snack in a separate place in their backpack. Everyone is doing a great job staying organized because of this. If you haven't started already and are interested, you may begin having your child buy hot (school) lunch. Please review the choices in the morning so sign up at school runs smoothly.
I'm sending home a Student Information Sheet today. Please fill out and return as soon as possible. If you already gave your emails to me, you can skip filling that out again. Thank you for your help with this.
Have a great weekend!
